I don't know why, but I left this account in the dust and focused more on my facebook (http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/ggormsen?ref=profile)and myspace (http://www.myspace.com/gcgcg)when I had time. Probably due to the fact that Mafia Wars isn't on this.
Renee, Lorelai, and I are doing good. We need more money, but lately who doesn't. We have been really busy with one of our latest adventures. We are at war with a large group of roaches. Our upstairs neighbor moved out and was REALLY infested with them. The maintenance guy said that he couldn't take 3 steps without stepping on one. He eventually had to leave. They bug-bombed the place, as well as ours, and we didn't see a slow down in their production. Two days later, it rained, releasing many more. We have been bleaching everything, which has kept them at bay, but the upstairs apartment is still very infested with them. Yesterday they bug-bombed the apartment and were supposed to spray our apartment, but they never sprayed us. I don't even know if they bombed the apartment above us. If they are not gone by the first, we are going to refuse to pay rent.

We took Lorelai to Sears the other day. That was really fun. She is growing up so fast. Her pictures are in my gallery.

It has been a long time since I have written anything, but I think this is interesting.
Does anyone know about the hypnotic factor in books? It is rare to find anything on the subject, but I was talking to a guy that was explaining it to me.
There are 3 stages of hypnotism in everything written. Here they are.

Zero - Bad writers, such as children and people who cannot get published, are stage zero. There is no hypnotism.

One - Great writers who can pull someone into their work are stage one. They can make the reader actually feel for the character and sometimes even make their writings so powerful that the reader actually gets addicted to reading the book until the book is finished.

Two - The art of making a stage 2 book is very rare. There are only a few ever published. These books can quite literally force the reader into making life decisions based upon what they are reading. Small subliminal messages within the text of the book can make you decide to have a baby, break up with your spouse, try different experiences, or more. In one instance, so the guy telling me says, there was a book written that made all of its readers use the restroom on a certain page, make a sandwich on a certain page, and without knowing it, pee their pants on the last page. He didn't know the title of this book, but he is usually pretty honest about what he says, so I am pretty inclined to believe him.

I looked on google for such books, but both "hypnotic books" and "subliminal books" just gave me results on books about hypnosis and subliminal messages, as well as a lot of websites devoted to porn in disney films.

I am very interested in this and would like to find books that do this. I want to start a collection of them. If anyone has any info on them, please let me know. I am pretty sure that "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Robert Kiosaki has some spots that turn from one to two, but I don't know for certain.

Hello friends. It has been a long while since I have updated (since 3/17). Here ya go.
Renee and I had the baby on 4/30/09 at 6:12pm. We named her Lorelai Elaine Gormsen. She was 6 lbs 13 oz, 20.25 inches long, blue eyes, auburn hair, and looks way more like me than Renee. While pregnant, Renee lost over 50 lbs. Before any of you get worried about that, it happens. If you are overweight, you will scrap fat to make room for baby. She scrapped a lot of it.

Even more stuff about Lorelai )

For the past couple months, life has really started to build up. With Renee not able to work, because of the baby, we have lost our apartment, and been forced to move into a smaller place in a not so good neighborhood. We have spanish music coming through our ceiling from 11am until 9pm everyday. It really sucks. My cell phone is being shut off every month, I am about to lose my internet at our apartment due to non-payment, we can't afford to pay full insurance payments, and we haven't paid on our credit cards for months. To top it all off, we are two months behind on my wife's car.
All day long we get creditors calling us for money, and all day long we find ourselves explaining the same story. We have no money, and in mid to late June, when Renee can go back to work, we will start getting on top, and will be able to pay people as soon as we have the money. I can't stand it! Right now, I can't even take a second job to cover everything because if I make $50 more a month, then we will be taken off of Acchhs (sp?) insurance. I am not even covered right now, but at least Renee is. Since she is high risk, it is very beneficial.

So, with that being said, if anyone needs any web design work done, or anything done under the table (I can build stuff, or yard work, or whatever), please let me know. The closer to Peoria, the better.

Thanks people!

I am so sick of this horrible idea from Obama. We are going to be paying off our debts well into the 2100's at this rate. I came up with an idea for how to bail our country out.

We give tax credits to all companies in the USA that fit all 3 requirements
1: All operations and offices are in the USA. Sales offices may be out of the USA, but manufacturing and engineering labs must be in the USA.

2: All jobs in the USA must hire legally documented Americans. For every 50 full Americans, the company is allowed 1 Visa Migrant Worker.

3: You must be an incorporated company, or make less than $500,000 per year (gross).

No stockholder companies, nor single owner companies.
It would boost the want for American made products, and keep American jobs American.

Another thing we could do is get rid of NAFTA, and put Tariffs back in place. I don't know why they got rid of them, but it was the start of the recession.

Another idea, which would definitely work, is to restructure the American dollar to equal double what it is now. How do you do that? There are 2 ways. The first is to find trust in it again. The second is to lose complete trust in it, burn it all, and start fresh with a new currancy. We need solutions now, and need to rid ourselves of the incompetency that we accidently elected.

I am all for a black man to become president, or a woman, or what-have-you, but I don't think that should have been the one.

10:30am on New Years Eve, Renee's grandfather passed away. He was a great guy. He served in the Army during WW2, Korea, and the first part of Vietnam. He was a Staff Sergeant and taught Electronics. He retired from the Army in 67, and went into selective service.
He got Alzheimer's disease about 10 years ago and slowly started to lose his memory. Up until the end, he was easily the nicest guy I have ever met, except for my grandfather on my mother's side.
He lived just long enough to celebrate his 54th Anniversary with his wife, which was on Christmas.

I just thought that you all should know that we lost a great person. He did many great things with his life, and he will be remembered by everyone he ever met.

Hello all.
Today is my 30th Birthday. I am getting old.

In other news,

I got my PC up and running again. I am running Vista Ultimate x64.

I was hoping some of you could tell me what essential software you recommend me getting.
I do more artsy crap on there than anything, as I am web designing, and someday will put out a game.

I have 3DS Max 2008 x64, Adobe CS3 (Master collection), WinRar, UltraISO, Nero, and Office 2k7 x64.

What else do you recommend?

Thanks!

Ok, so my super awesome PC that I built in 2k5 isn't so awesome anymore. I get that. In fact, it is kind of a dinsaur.

Single-Core 939 CPU, 400 DDR ram, Gigabyte GA K8NF-9 1.x, single 512 NVidia 7600 GT Vid card. It is old. Even my monitors are old. I have a 20" CRT and a 17" CRT. The 20" is a heavy mother.
Hell, I even reverted back to an old PS/2 montor.

So, anyway, when my Hard drive crapped out on me, due to my own negligence and over hurryness, I immediately started saving for a new HD. I have really gotten out of touch with PC building apparently, because I figured that I would just go down to Frys and pick me up another couple of 50 Gb HD's. A couple of Hitachi Deskstars again. That is my favorite. Last night, I finally got the money saved, more than enough, I figured, for 2 hard drives. I walked into the HD section and found 500Gb and 1Tb HD's. There was 1 300Gb HD, which I would love to have, but it was a beast of a HD, I think it is called a Velociraptor. This thing had 32mb of cache, 3 ms write time, 1.3ms read time, almost 0 expected bad sectors (I hate that, it is like saying that if you get a new 50" LCD, it is ok to have a certain amount of dead pixels. NO! I want my entire HD!). It was awesome. It was also $189. Yeah, no thank you.

Why don't I want a large HD? Because HD's fail. The bigger they are, the closer to seppaku you want to be when they do fail. Imaging having 500 Gb of stuff gone. Sure, you can back up, copy files, etc, but when it comes down to it, you will still lose data. Maybe it is that final that you have been working on, maybe it is all the pictures that you took of your family. Your great grandma's last Christmas, or something like that. With a bunch of little ones, you can do what I do. I download the files on one drive, then copy to my other drive immediately. Well, up until my other drive had failed me. It was sad, but I said "I still have an external, and an internal. I will just backup onto my external." Then my external failed, and I hadn't backed up for over a month, it was bad.

So, anyway, back to Frys. I asked the guy at the counter. He told me about a 300Gb Samsung (seagate) HD. I hate Seagate, but what the hell. It was only $75.

He did not, however, tell me that it was not IDE. My PC doesn't have a SATA power plug, and it doesn't boot from SATA, it is like having a great storage drive.
Today I found that I can run a program when I F6 in the XP setup that will fix that.

So what, you may be asking, is this all about?
It is about me having to get convertors and crap to make a SATA HD work, when all I want is a nice old IDE HD, but since Mobo manf. are as evil as their software buddies, we have to upgrade everytime we sneeze. I hate it and I hate windows with their "now that everyone is finally switching to Vista, lets make Windows 7.", which has forced me to go back to XP again. What the holy hell is wrong with Vista? It does what I want it to.

Not only that, but Vista has the best media center ever. It is almost as good as one you would pay a couple hundred for. Guess what? Windows 7 doesn't have Media Center. They are going to charge for it. Bastards.

Thanks for reading, I just needed to write.

What would you change about your country if you could be in charge for a day?

I would quit helping out all these countries. I would instead pump the money we save from not assisting them back into our own country. The money would pay for better schools, lower taxes, solve the fuel crisis, and help the environment as well. It will be our generosity that kills us in the end.
I would also push for a system where the better of a job you have, and the higher up the ladder you are, the more money you have. If you work in fast food, you make 18k a year, if you are the CEO of WalMart, you make 1 million a year. All extra profits go to paying for those that truly cannot work, the retired, and education of America. Insurance would be banned, Healthcare would be affordable, and everyone would be happy.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have been watching the news as of late and it has occurred to me that we are on the front of a great disaster. The war between the good guys and bad. I am, of course, talking about the situation between Georgia and Russia. America has decided to help Georgia, for some ungodly reason. I hang my head when I think of what this means.
Russia, you see, is an ally of Red China, and North Korea. These are three of the five strongest nations in the world, the UK and the US of A being the other 2. While I cannot list off who is the strongest, I can tell you that we, as people of earth, if this war is not stopped, we will all perish.

Russia has more technology and war heads than any other country.
China has a true gung-ho attitude and has never liked America or most of the world. If the Chinese lifted their breeding restrictions, they could march 12 a breast into the sea for the rest of time. They have more troops than anyone could ever fathom.
North Korea’s Jong Kim is the craziest ruler in all of time. He would start a nuclear holocaust because of sheer boredom.
These 3 “Super Villians” are the only stronghold that could ever have a chance of ruling the world.

The United States of America is the leader in nuclear warheads, they don’t have as many troops as they did, but could quickly and easily get them, and what they have in technology could destroy the world.
The UK has better intelligence than any other country. The abilities of this country are amazing, but I would easily rate them in the #5 spot.
These 2 “Heroes” are the leaders of the UN, and are the only ones who have successfully kept the villains at bay.

Most likely, the UN would follow America, but the countries not in it would have to decide on their own.

With the 12/21/2012 date coming up, the Mayan Calendar reset date, being on the edge of an era and on the edge of a planetary type (type 0 to type 1), the book of revelations, and the 2000 year Christian biblical clock all pointing to this exact time frame, I do not think that this could be more inevitable. I feel that this is the end of the human species and of the earth.

Get your affairs in order, make peace with God and your families, and ready yourselves. We are in for a bumpy 4 years.

To prove my theory, I am putting down that within the next 3 years, 1 man will rise up as the greatest evil that this entire world will ever know. He will be adorned by many and have his own followers, but there will be a large following against him as well. This will be the true antichrist. I personally have my theories on who this man will be, so I am voting Republican
(no, I am not joking).

I am now the proud owner of That Website Guy Dot Net!!!
If you ever need web work done, you can call on me. I have updated my price list by a little bit, since I did some more research into other companies price structures and found out the full breakdown. I will delete the prices out of the last post and post them in a new post soon.

I also uninstalled Ubuntu, since I now have a legal copy of Vista Ultimate x86.

Renee and I are great, how are you all?

So, I just installed Ubuntu Hardy Heron. I am on it now. I cannot boot back into WinXP, so I don't get to use Autodesk anymore. I am installing Blender as we speak. Lets hope it is easy to learn.

I am designing websites. It is nice. I work for Dependable Staffing. I am doing their websites for them. I am also starting my own biz. If anyone knows anyone that needs a site, or some work done, I am here for them.
Here is my price list...

3 page html site with a year of hosting and 5 email addresses... $300
5 page html site with a year of hosting and 10 email addresses... $500 (PHP contact page included)
each additional page... $50
each additional email... $10
Flash element... Ranges ($10 for flash buttons on new site/$40 on existing site)($20 for a 5 picture rotating gallery) ($250 for a splash intro w/out a lot of bells and whistles)
PHP... $100 a page
Java... $150/simple program - $??/bigger program
AJAX... Don't know yet
I am learning MySql right now.
Work done to additional sites... $50/hr
You get a max of 50 gigs.

As far as I have found, I am the cheapest in the area. The closest I have found is about a hundred more expensive for a 5 page and they don't do anything but HTML.

As soon as I have the money, I am registering my site. I will announce it when it is up.

There is awesome Friday nite karaoke on 59th ave, just north of Maryland on the West side of the street. It is called the Ant Hill. It starts at 9:30pm. This guy has more songs than you can think of. We only stumped him once.

Renee and I are doing awesome!
How are you all doing?

4/11/08 (this friday) We are getting married.
We are going to the county court house and getting hitched in front of the Justice of the Peace. Renee's insurance is going up $110 because of the neighborhood we are living in and her going away from a group policy. She is supposed to pay 250 a month!!
Also, I don't have health insurance, so I need it.
That is the main reasons we are getting married now.

We are still having the November of 2009 wedding, so keep your calendars marked for that one still.

In other news, I am starting a new job tomorrow. I will be building websites for Dependable Staffing. Their websites are old and outdated, so 2 others, and I will be developing new websites for them.
It is 8am to 5pm Monday-Friday 6 month position $15.00/hr. Just south of Indian School on Central.

We are looking for another apartment complex to move to. One that is closer to the I-17, north of northern. We are trying to stay under 650 for a 2 bedroom. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Our lease here doesn't end until August 1.

Our apartment complex posted a notice that if we didn't pay rent, we would be evicted. The problem is that it was paid on the first. We went in and they said "You must have paid on the 3rd or later, because that is the only way you could have gotten that."
We showed the date on the receipt and they said "Oh sorry" and ripped up the late notice. We were going to use that as part of our 'get out of our contract' fight.

Renee and I have spent our free time playing Kingdom Hearts. I know, I know. It is long over due. I never had time, what with school and all and Renee wasn't much of a gamer.
In the past 3 weeks since we started playing it, We have put in a lot of time and we have really built our relationship. It is kind of neat the way that can happen. I did the side quests and beat the parts she couldn't, and she did the main storyline. The only main boss she did not defeat on her own was Hook. She was at work and I had just beaten a Colosseum match for her, when I thought I would venture in and check it out. Unfortunately, the Neverland world was really quite small compared to the others, so I beat the level in less than an hour.
I cannot believe that I am saying this, but I don't want the game to end. It was that much fun. We really enjoyed it.
Tomorrow we go to the Renaissance Festival, then Sunday we start Kingdom Hearts 2. That will be fun. I heard it is as good as the first, which you don't see too often.

We are looking for any games like this one. We want a fighting system like this one. We both like RPG's, but hate the turn based RPG's.
A)Attack
B)Run screaming like a little girl
C)End Post

My phone just alerted me that it is my birthday. When I first got the phone, I programmed it with a bunch of different fun messages, so that I could see them throughout the year. For instance, one of them was remembering when Kris and I would get Jen laughing so hard that she would almost die. Another was the memory of when Renee and I actually started dating.
It's fun.

Well, lets see what this next year brings me.
Im hoping for my computer creation biz to start and hopefully get a few levels put into Unreal 3. I start paying back my school loans in may, so I need to find an extra 300 a month somewhere. I don't want to have to take a second job.

I was driving home two days ago when I thought of something kind of profound.
I have always been fascinated with the idea of time travel, but have fears due to the entire paradox thing. You know, if you go back and change an event, then you come back into the future, you then don't have a reason to go back to the past, so you never go, since you never went, you never changed the event, so it happens, so you go back to change the event, then you come back into the future, you then don't have a reason to go back to the past, so you never go, since you never went, you never changed the event, so it happens, so you go back to change the event, then you come back into the future, you then don't have a reason to go back to the past, so you never go, since you never went, you never changed the event, so it happens, so you go back to change the event... etc...
Anyway, so I broadend it the other day.

What if your future is to change the event, so when you change it, you are just going along with your predetermined future, which of course cannot be altered. This would then stay changed and you would know that you changed it when you got back into the future.

What do you think? It is all theory, of course, but still it is definately something to think about. Ya know?

By the way, we still don't have internet at the apt, this is being written from the most awesome job I have ever had. I work at Employees Wanted Magazine. The people are great and I just love it.

Renee and I are moving into a new place. If you want to come over, call me.
It's at 83rd ave and Glendale.

We're the building by pool, the playground, and Ocotillo.

Because we have spent a fucking fortune on moving expenses, we can't afford hooking up our internet, so Im gonna be off line.
I'll get on when I can. Probably from work.
Oh yeah, for those who don't know...
I got a job at Employees Wanted Magazine.
It's an entry level graphic design job. I'll be doing proofing and call recording to start, while doing that, I'll be learning indesign and honing my skills in photoshop.
It's not what I dreamed of, but it's art and it pays the bills. $10 an hour to start.
Who knows, maybe one day I'll be working for some magazine or something.

School is finished. It took a bit of pushing to get out, as Dick-o wouldn't pass me. We worked out a deal that if I did 2 awesome models, really high class stuff, that he would pass me. I stayed up for a long time and got them both done with about an hour to spare. He didn't even believe that they were mine. He thought I had downloaded them. I was slightly confuzzled on whether or not I should take that as a compliment, but I smiled and left.

So, the party is still on.

TTYS!

We took Buffy home from the vet, for her 1 last night with us and she got loved, and there was like 5 of us praying, and it was Buffy time. At about 11pm, she started to feel good.
At 2am, when we went to bed, she was acting like her old self (except she couldnt control her bladder). The next day, we kept her at the house and she was perky and jumping, barking again, etc. The next day, she went back to the vet, we knew that the meds she was on would make her more normal, but we had no idea. Neither did the vet. We all insisted on retesting her, and she was at 1000. Previously, she was over 2000. Normal is below 200. He was astonished, amazed, never seen that before with a 13 year old dog.

So, it is a dog-(not)gone miracle!!!
She goes in for testing again in 2 weeks.

Hey all. I just got back from my girlfriend's place. I am Über depressed, and I feel bad for Ren. Here's the story...
Last night, Renee called me up and she was pretty broken up. She told me that her dog, Buffy, who she has had for 13 years, was sick. She knew it was pretty serious, but didn't know what it was. At 10:30 at night, her family decided to take Buffy to the Emergency Pet Hospital. They saw Buffy and immediately admitted her. They put her on a fluid drip to rehydrate her. They released her at about 1:00am this morning. When I got off work, I headed over to take Buffy to the Vet at Petsmart.
Renee's grandma, grandpa, and I took Buffy in and again was immediately seen. Buffy could not hold her pee and was going without control. The doc felt her up and found a lump near her abdomen. A few hours later, we got the final verdict. Buffy is on her last leg, 13 years old and done for. Her liver is failing. So, they pumped her up on protein and nutrients so that she would live for a couple more days. Renee went down to Petsmart to pick Buffy up, so that Buffy and her can have one more night. Renee has never been without Buffy for more than a couple weeks, except for when she worked at Disney. They are as close as you could ever imagine. On top of that, Buffy has really grown fond of me. I love that lil' pug.
Tomorrow night, or Saturday morning, Renee is going to go in to the vet with Buffy, and they will inject her with 3 shots. #1 will calm Buffy. #2 will stop her heart. #3 will flush #1 and #2 out.

I am so sad and have been crying all day. I am only home to do some quick homework. I am trying to stay strong for Ren, but it is tough.

Also, they have a kitten that they need to find a home for. A white cat with black mickey mouse spots on his butt. He is fun and playful. They don't want to have to give one up, but they must.
Free to a good home.

How did you spend summers when you were a kid? I lived with my Dad some summers, those were the best. My mom kept me and my sister grounded to the house. I think that is why my social skills and my maturity didn't develop like they should have.
Every year, it was the same story. My sis and I would go out and hang out with the neighborhood kids, then the first thing we did wrong, we were grounded. Stuff that would have just gotten most kids a stern talking to, like when we stayed out past dark (in our back yard) to play hide and go seek. That was the full summer down the drain.

Vacations with my Dad included stuff like waterskiing, movies, the city pool, camping, etc. You know, normal family stuff. They were so much fun. When I finally moved in with him, January of 2004, I knew it wouldn't be the same, but it would be better. I was so right. I had to spend summers with my mom, and the first one was enough for me. I got into town, unpacked my stuff, and went to say hi to the neighborhood. I got back and was informed that I was grounded for what I did. I asked what it was, and she started telling me about how I lied to her and how I know exactly what I did. I left a week later. Fuck, she was pissed.
Now, I am 28 and last year, I visited her for 4th of July weekend. I skipped a few years because I wanted to, nothing really happened, I saw my mom a few times, it was fine. Anyway, so I get into town and am informed that I am going camping for the entire trip. I told her that I had plans to meet some people in town, and to catch up with the people that I knew. She decided that we would come back into town 4 days early. After the camping trip, we were going to head back to town, but she started drinking, so we couldn't leave. 3 days early. She drank again. 2 days early. We left. I got 1 night in town. I had broken plans with people, and everything else. The only ones I was going to see were the random folk at the bar. I am still pretty pissed at my mom for that one.
This year, I am spending Summer with my girlfriend and my computer. Its fun stuff. Well, I gotta go, the circus opens at 6 and Renee bought us tickets
Can you believe that it has been 8 months already?

Im back. I have decided that I want to work there. Well, maybe not there specifically, but in the Imagineering department. The people that create the rides, the scenes, the buildings, etc. They have an entire department for 3D max concepts. I think that would be a really fun job.

It is amazing how awesome that place is. I always took it for granted a little bit, but now I truly understand what it is about. I saw the true magic. For the first time, it wasn't about the rides. Don't get me wrong, they were fun, but the hidden stuff was amazing. There is an entire hidden world of fun, for instance, we found a bunch of hidden mickeys (little fun things about disney that you aren't really supposed to see, but if you look for them, you will want the rest). For instance, did you know that Winnie the Pooh, Goofy, and Walt Disney are blatantly in the haunted mansion? You won't see them unless you know where to look, but you will never miss them again after you see them once.

It has been seven months.
Seven months ago, I asked Renee if she wanted to start dating. I remember it like it was yesterday. We were sitting at the patio table by the hot tub and we discussed quite a bit. Eventually, I asked her if she would like to start something real. Her reply was "Of course, I thought you knew that." In all reality, I did. We had been unofficial for about a month, maybe a month and a half. I don't know, maybe longer. I stopped everything romantic about 2 weeks before. I thought I knew her. I really did. I never knew much about her family, or her friends. I did not know how caring she could be, or even why I was asking her out. There were a lot of other girls out there that I could have asked out and known that they would say "Yes", but this was different. My family and a few of my friends told me I needed to see where this would go. Little did any of us actually know.
A month later, I found myself on the outer edges of her families arguements. I tried to help her get the courage to stand up and say no every once in a while. They treated her just short of being a slave to them. Especially her uncle. I told her that I loved her on our one month. We had been dieing to tell each other for a couple weeks.
Now, she tells them no sometimes, but she is still very soft spoken to them. I can't blame her, they are her family. I am the same for mine.
As far as where we are, I think we are comfortable with each other, or damn close to it. We still go out too much, and plan wildly extravagent vacations that both of us know deep down we cannot afford. We will someday though. As Bon Jovi says "We've got each other, and that's a lot for love."
Hard to believe it has been seven months.

School is narrowing down. I need to get an interview before I can pass Career Development. I don't know what I am going to do. Today, I reach desperate times. If Swink doesn't hurry and get back with me, I am going to start calling Graphic Design businesses like Alpha Graphics. It is a last ditch effort, but I have to pass. I need to graduate by September, I do not want to travel in the winter and I do not want to get stuck here. I hate Phoenix so much.

I miss many of you. I wish I had more time.

There's your update.
